Fair Play Policy

Cross Country BC believes that integrity, fairness and respect are the principles of Fair Play. Cross Country BC also believes that sport is an ethical pursuit, one which builds character and shapes attitudes.

Our Fair Play aims are to:

• promote sport as a "fun" activity
• help athletes develop a positive self-image;
• promote respect for the rules, opponents and officials and their decisions;
• encourage athletes to have a constructive attitude toward competition;
• encourage honest rivalry, courteous relations and graceful acceptance of the results;
• help athletes develop a sense of dignity under all circumstances;
• provide an equal opportunity for all to learn skills;
• encourage all individuals to continue participation in our sport
