Special request: Add your name to the Honour Role for a show of support for our inspiring young athletes
We are raising money for our BC Provincial Team athletes that qualify for international races this winter, to help them with their out-of-pocket expenses… for a trip of a lifetime!
Please consider showing your support by adding your name to the Honour Role. So far we have 6 names, including BC’s own 2-time Olympian George Grey!
You can choose to keep the amount private (donate as little or as much as you like)… but let’s have a strong show of support for our inspiring young athletes by getting as many names on the Honour Role as possible!

Subject: Fundraiser for our ski clubs - more than $16k raised already!
Hello XC skiers and supporters of our wonderful winter sport,
I hope you’re getting very excited about the upcoming ski season! Please take the time to read the below and give it some thought.
A unique online fundraiser has been launched for our clubs: the BC Club Challenge.
Key supporters of XC skiing in BC, including some extremely generous anonymous donors, are matching up to 25% of donations made to participating BC clubs.
11 clubs have opted to participate, and so far more than $16,000 has been raised for our sport via individual donations. To see which clubs are participating, how much they’ve raised so far, and who’s contributed, click on the following link and scroll down: https://canadianolympicfoundation.akaraisin.com/CrossCountryBC
This fundraiser is the first of its kind and it’s very important that our anonymous donors see that it gets wide support. If their generosity is reciprocated, it is that much more likely they (and others) will consider supporting this on an annual basis going forward.
Thank you for considering to support this unique opportunity to grow our amazing “sport for life” in BC, and please let others know too. If possible, please forward this email to three or four individuals that you think may support this initiative. (“Many hands make light work.”)
Note that donations are tax deductible and you (or your business) will receive a tax receipt. The deadline to contribute is Dec 15. To make a contribution, click here.
Think snow and have a wonderful ski season!
Regards,
Wannes
