The Social Side of the

2017 Sport for Life Canadian Summit

Dear Sport for Life Champion,

For a conference that focuses on nurturing excellence and physical literacy to be successful, it helps to have the highest levels of sporting excellence and physical literacy on display. It also helps if delegates have opportunities to debate and network - with presenters as well as each other - while enjoying a cocktail or two.

All of this will be available at the 2017 Sport for Life Canadian Summit, which takes place January 25 and 26 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec.

WORKSHOPS

The theme of the 2017 Summit is Nurturing Excellence and on Wednesday and Thursday delegates will have their choice of more than 70 presentations delivered by over 90 experts that all speak to this theme. On Tuesday, additional workshops will be available on such topics as the Aboriginal Long-Term Participant Development Pathway, autism in sport and community recreation, nurturing excellence for girls, and periodization.

NHL GAME

Tuesday evening is when the fun begins, as Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals take on the Ottawa Senators in the NHL. Delegates can purchase discounted tickets through the Summit registration page, and a bus will take attendees to and from the game. This is a great opportunity to see some of the highest levels of sporting excellence and physical literacy on display.
