Changes to Community Gaming Grant

The Community Gaming Grant application intake for sport opens on February 1, 2013 with a new, simplified option for sport organizations applying for the same amounts as they received in the previous year. These changes are in response to the input received by the Community Gaming Grant Review by Skip Triplett, the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch of the BC Government.

If your sport organization falls under any or all of the following bullets, the new “short form” application may be completed and submitted in hardcopy via mail:

  • The organization received gaming funds in the previous year.
  • The organization is not applying for new project funding.
  • The organization is not asking for an increased amount in funding.

A sample of the shortened application form can be seen by clicking the link (an online submission form will be available at a later date). New applicants or applicants who wish to add additional programs or request additional funding will be required to use the regular application forms to provide program descriptions and to explain the changes being requested.

Application deadline: May 31, 2013.
