Larch Hills Overtakes Revelstoke in Teck Okanagan Cup Showdown »

The Larch Hills Nordic Society (Salmon Arm) mustered their forces to overtake the Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club on their home turf last weekend.  Larch Hills accumulated 545 points in the two-race Teck Okanagan Cup Series, leading their neighbouring club Revelstoke by 176 points.

On other fronts:

  • The Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club of Smithers edged out the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club of Prince George in the final Teck Northern Cup Series race of the season, which was held in Smithers on the weekend.  The two clubs earned a total of 438 and 394 points respectively.
  • In the Kootenay region the Kimberley Nordic Ski Club (300) has a narrow lead over the Fernie Nordic Ski Club (268) and Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club – Invermere (200) following the third event in the series .  The next Teck Kootenay Cup is scheduled for March 4th in Nelson.
     
  • At the coast the Hollyburn Cross Country Ski Club (Vancouver) is dominating the Teck Coast Cup Series with 556 points after the first three races.  Runners up are the Sea to Sky Nordic Club (Squamish) and Whistler Nordic Ski Club (Courtenay) with 138 and 130 points respectively. The next two Teck Coast Cup races are scheduled for March 4-5th at Mt Washington.
