STRATHCONA THE BIG WINNER AS THE TECK REGIONAL CUP SERIES WINDS UP

The Teck Regional Cup Series wound up on the weekend with the final two events of the season taking place in the Okanagan and Coast regions. To view the Club Aggregate Points Chart for all four of the Regional Cup Series, click here.

Teck Coast Cup Series

The Strathcona Nordic Ski Club ‘rallied the troops’ to amass a remarkable 950 points, overtaking earlier leaders Hollyburn and Whistler and winning the series ‘banner’ by a significant margin. Seven clubs participated in the series.

Teck Okanagan Cup Series

The Larch Hills Nordic Society dominated the Okanagan Series from the outset, leading Sovereign Lake and the other clubs in the region to win the club aggregate trophy.  Six clubs participated in this series.

Teck Northern Cup Series

In early March the Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club won the overall club aggregate and took home the series banner.  Six clubs participated in these events.

Teck Kootenay Cup Series

In February the Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club led Kimberley and Nelson in a relatively close competition to take home the Kootenay Cup trophy and food hamper. Eight clubs participated.
