Teck Regional Cup Highlights »

 

Hollyburn Cross Country Ski Club took the early lead in the chase for the Teck Coast Cup Series trophy by accumulating the most points at the first event in the series. The next Teck Coast Cup race will be held at Whistler Olympic Park, Callaghan Valley, on Sunday. An unprecedented 300+ competitors have entered. Seven clubs from the region will participate:

Sea to Sky Nordic Ski Club              
Spud Valley Nordic Ski Club
UBC Nordic Ski Club
Strathcona Nordic Ski Club
Whistler Nordic Ski Club
Hollyburn Cross Country Ski Club
Nordic Racers

On other fronts:

  • The Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club of Smithers has a significant lead in the Teck Northern Cup Series following the first race.

  • Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club holds a narrow lead over the Nelson Nordic Ski Club (67 to 60) after the second race in the Teck Kootenay Cup Series.

  • In the Okanagan the Larch Hills Nordic Society is dominating the scene with 916 points after three races. The Sovereign Lake Nordic Club is the runner up with 300 points.
