Remember to register in advance! Note that the deadline for registering for accommodations at TRU Residences is April 15th, 2012.
Club Excellence: Club Excellence is a business approach to managing a club. It is also a club quality assurance program that recognizes and rewards clubs that can demonstrate that their program meets key sport-organizational standards (from both a generic and sport specific perspective), and is LTAD aligned. This program is recognized by Sport Canada as an official step in LTAD implementation. Cross Country Canada is in the process of becoming a member and will be distributing additional information over the coming months. See attached poster.
This presentation will describe the benefit to clubs, the six core areas within the standards, the process for club "certification" and all costs relating to certification. The six core areas are: program delivery, coaching, people management, governance, financial accountability, and marketing, recruitment and revenue generation.
Club Roundup: Come prepared to give a brief presentation on your club program last season - what were the highlights and what were the challenges!
LTAD Alignment: The Canadian sport scene is changing. We will discuss what LTAD alignment means at the community club level, and how this will affect club funding opportunities in the future?
Special Presentations: There will be several other special presentations, including one by Callaghan Valley Training Centre athlete Adriene Underhill (Larch Hills Nordic Society).
