Fernie Nordic Ski Club leads the pack in Teck Kootenay Cup contest
The Fernie Nordic Ski Club (Fernie, BC) has once again grabbed the lead from the other cross country ski clubs in the region following the fourth event in the series. Fernie (496 points) has a comfortable lead over the Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club of Rossland (263), Kimberley Nordic Ski Club (166), Nelson Nordic Ski Club (103) and Valhalla Hills Nordic Ski Club of New Denver (22) but there are still four races to go and any of the leading four could end up the overall champion. The next Teck Kootenay Cup weekend, with more than 260 racers registered, is scheduled for January 12-13th in Kimberley.
