NCCP Comp-Dev (L2C) Context – Multi-Sport Modules & CSI Pacific International Coaching School May 21-31 2024
The NCCP Comp-Dev program is directed at coaches that are working with athletes in the Learning to Compete (L2C) stage of development.
There are four multi-sport modules that are not integrated into our NCCP Comp-Dev (cross country skiing) workshops, but are still required as part of your Comp-Dev training. The Nordiq Canada Comp-Dev flowchart indicates these modules at the bottom of this chart – click here to see the flowchart. The 4 multi-sport modules are:
· Managing Conflict (4.5 hrs) and Managing Conflict online evaluation
· Leading Drug-free Sport (3.5 hrs) and Leading Drug-free Sport online evaluation
· Coaching and Leading Effectively (10 hrs)
· Psychology of Performance (7 hours)
NOTE: These four modules are the ONLY multi-sport modules required for a cross country ski coach - starting with your ICC (cross country skiing) workshop through to completing your Comp-Dev certification.
Normally to enroll in one of these multi-sport modules you would look here - https://viasport.ca/courses/?_course_format=home-study, where you have the option of taking in-class or online workshops. However, the CSI Pacific International Coaching School will be offering a special multi-sport module training opportunity in May of this year. See below for more information.
