Telemark Nordic Club to Host 2019 Cross Country Ski Western Canadian Championships

West Kelowna, BC — Telemark Nordic Club in West Kelowna, BC is proud to have been awarded the privilege of hosting the 2019 Western Canadian Ski Championships February 8-10, 2019. Given Telemark’s central location it is anticipated that we will play host to over 500 of the most competitive cross country skiers, and their coaches, from Canada and the Western United States. This FIS and CCC sanctioned event will be held over three action packed days of racing and consist of three race events:
Friday: Sprints (Free Technique)
Saturday: Mass Start (Classic Technique)
Sunday: Relay (3 person, Classic Technique)
Kelowna and West Kelowna are located in the beautiful Okanagan valley and we invite athletes, coaches and their families to explore our cities and experience our world class hospitality. Discover cross country skiing and snowshoeing at Telemark Nordic Club. With over 50 km of professionally groomed cross country ski trails for skate and classic skiing, there is terrain for both beginner and experienced skiers. Several of the trails are lit for night skiing. Additionally, there is over 60 km of stunning snowshoe trails through quiet, pristine ponderosa and cedar forests with breath-taking views across the Okanagan Valley.
