CCBC Fall Testing Camp Photos (Whistler, BC)

October 13-17, 2021

A provincial camp for BC Ski Team and BC Development Squad athletes was held in Vancouver/Whistler last weekend.  34 athletes from across the province attended.  Coaches and athletes came from communities throughout BC – Vancouver Island, Revelstoke,  Prince George, Kelowna, Vancouver, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Nelson, Kimberley, Smithers, Rossland and Vernon.

The camp program included incremental and VO2 testing, a 3000m run test, double poll testing, rollerski critical speed tests, a rollerski race, and nutrition presentations.

Cross Country BC would like to thank the Nordiq Canada Development Fund (NCDF) for supporting this camp and helping to keep costs down for our athletes. The NCDF is an endowment fund that supports developing high performance athletes. The Nordiq Canada Board of Directors established the fund with an initial investment of $90,000. The next provincial camp will be the CCBC Snow Camp (BCST/BCDS) in Vernon from November 11-15, followed by the BC Talent Squad Snow Camp (BCTS) in Vernon from November 18-22.
