BC Ski Team in Sweden
2025 B-Tour
April 5th, 2025
It was our last day full day in Sweden and the final race of our season. We started the morning with a breakfast buffet that included all the food you could dream of. After loading up on all the delicious breakfast foods we made some sandwiches, packed our bags and we were off to the race. We stayed in Luleå the night before, so to get to Kalix where we were racing we only had to drive about 45 minutes.
Once we arrived at the venue we prepped our skis and started our warm ups. The race was a mass start so the boys race started and then 2 minutes later the girls race did. This meant that we were able to see each other while racing. We all raced three laps of a fun 2.5km course with not many hills. Knowing that it this was our last race of the season was sad but also exciting. Both races went well, everyone was happy and had a smile on their face afterwards.
After the races we packed up the ski bags loaded them on the vans and headed back to our hotel in Luleå. However, on the way back one of our vans ended up getting a flat tire. We had to call a tow truck, and then we waited for the first van to drop the athletes and come back to grab us. In the end we all made it back to the hotel and had a nice sauna and swim in the pool followed by a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant.
