Were you born in 2009 or 2010?

If so you will be eligible to try out for the BC Winter Games in 2024!

Join other skiers your age from communities throughout British Columbia for a weekend of cross-country skiing competition and fun.

There will be 8 zones represented - Kootenay, Okanagan, Lower Mainland (3), Vancouver Island, Northwest and Northeast.  At least 8 skiers from YOUR zone can take part in the cross-country skiing events, and possibly more.

The cross-country ski events at the Games will include:

Interval Start Race:  15 second intervals, classic technique, 3.5 km (b. 2010) & 5 km (b. 2009)

Individual Sprint Race:  free technique, distance 400 metres 

Zone Relays:  2 guys, 2 girls, mixed techniques, combined age categories, 4 x 2.0 km

The Games will also offer events for athletes with a disability. Refer to the above link for event-specific age criteria:

Interval Start Race: Standing M/W, classic technique, 5 km

Interval Start Race: Sit-Ski M/W, classic technique, 3.5 km

Individual Sprint Race: free technique, 400 metres
