BC Athletes & 2020 World Junior/U23 Championships Trip (to Feb 21) »

2020 FIS World Junior/U23 Championships
Oberwiesenthal, Germany
February 28 – Mar 8, 2020

Seefeld, Austria, February
February 19th, 20th, and 21s

The last three days were filled with lots of training, team bonding and large amounts of food. The team has gone up to the Seefeld trails everyday to put in some solid training before World Juniors. With an amazing training facility here in Seefeld, we are getting in some quality training while exploring the beautiful trails Seefeld has to offer. To get the body moving again we started with some zone 3 intervals. The following day we did some speed work and checked out the race course for the upcoming time trial over the weekend. We continued to work on technique throughout the week making minor adjustments before the championships. Once we have put in a solid effort of training for the day we come home to a delicious four course meal with a variety of new foods. Outside of training we are slowly getting to know the rest of the group. Since this team is filled with athletes from all around Canada many of us are unfamiliar with each other. We started with some fun team bonding activities to get to know each other and break the ice, making some of us feel slightly out of our comfort zone. Team bonding activities were a good way to get to know the rest of the team. We are looking forward to finishing up our training here in Seefeld and then heading over to Oberweisentahl to kick off some fun racing!
