Kal Tire Sponsorship: A Special Request
We are very appreciative that Kal Tire continues to be the official sponsor of the children’s Skill Development Program (SDP) here in BC, now for six years. Kal Tire has generously supported grassroots development of our sport, funding ski playgrounds, adventure trails, roller skis, coach development, program equipment, and more. (Stay tuned for this year’s Kal Tire grant application for clubs.) Worth highlighting that SDP has seen record enrollment the past two years, almost 3,000 kids each winter! More kids than ever before are cross country skiing.
Our ongoing partnership with Kal is made possible thanks to fantastic engagement from clubs and members alike, in part measured by redemptions of the exclusive $100 Kal Tire coupon for club members. As such, we sincerely appreciate your best efforts to promote this coupon with all your club members over the coming weeks.
The coupon is for a $100 discount on a set of new winter or summer tires. Look for it in our annual magazine delivered in early September, or simply use the e-version below. The coupon is valid until Sep 30, just in time for the Oct 1 BC highways deadline… but don’t wait until the last minute. Can we suggest a calendar reminder in your phone?
To add some fun, the 6 clubs that redeem the most coupons at their local Kal shop(s), on a per-member basis, will win $2000, $1500, $1000, $700, $500, and $300. (Minimum of 10 coupons for a club to be eligible.)

Kal is a born & bred BC company (started in Vernon in 1953), is very community minded, has stores in almost every club location, and as we know, cross country skiers put on more miles in harsher winter driving conditions than most.
