NOTICE: Changes Expected to Minimum Mandatory Coaching Qualifications Policy

Nordiq Canada has indicated that changes are expected to the Minimum Mandatory Coaching Qualifications Policy for our sport. It is not clear what the exact wording will be or when the new policy will come into effect, but clubs should be preparing for the following:

  1. Coaches must be active NCCP CCI-Advanced 'trained' coaches (must have completed the T2T(Dryland) & T2T (On-Snow) Workshops) in order to supervise, instruct or coach ski activities for athletes twelve to sixteen years of age.
  2. Coaches must be active NCCP CCD 'trained' coaches (must have completed the L2C (Dryland) & L2C (On-Snow) Workshops) in order to supervise, instruct or coach ski activities for athletes 16+ years of age with a NC Racing Licence and who are in the competitive stream.

CCBC is starting to schedule NCCP Workshops for the 2024/2025 season. Tentative dates for the CCI-Advanced (T2T) Workshops are:

May 3-5                        T2T Dryland                  Whistler, BC     
Oct 4-6                         T2T Dryland                  Whistler, BC
Nov 22-25                    T2T On-Snow                Whistler, BC
Nov 29-Dec 1              T2T On-Snow                Whistler, BC
