2015-16 AltaGas Ski-at-School Program Grant Recipients

This is the first year that the AltaGas ski-at-School grant was made available and the response to the grant was excellent.  53 applications were received from across Canada. In the final selection Cross Country Canada and AltaGas chose seven applicants, one of which was the Omineca Ski Club in Burns Lake, BC.

Omineca Ski Club: plans are to reach four elementary schools in the area, and thereby target 540 students in grades K-7. The Omineca Ski Club has run successful skiing events for many years and aims to create enthusiasm for cross country skiing by transforming schoolyard spaces with groomed ski tracks, and mini terrain parks for the students.
