Welcome to the TECK BC Cup #2 hosted by Black Tusk Nordic Society at Whistler Olympic Park! On behalf of Black Tusk Nordic Events Society and CCBC we acknowledge with gratitude that we are hosting the BC Cup #2 on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish) and Lil'wat (Lillooet) People. We also want to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of WOP’s grooming team for all their work over on the course to ensure our races can proceed.
Event Notice
The best place for detailed information for this race can be found in the Event Notice. Please review the information in the notice carefully. The Event Notice has been updated recently; the important changes are highlighted in yellow and include: addition of venue opening hours, a link for the WhatsApp Channel that we will use to communicate important information, changes to the distances for some select categories due to low snow conditions and the link to the course maps as some courses have changed from originally planned.

We encourage you to sign up for the WhatsApp Channel for the event to ensure you receive important updates. Only the race office will be able to post to the channel but please use the email racesecretary@blacktusknordic.com if you have any questions. We will post the Event Notice in the WhatApp channel to help you find important information. This channel has proven valuable in reuniting people with the MANY items left behind at our previous Coast Cup races.
Schedule
The races are scheduled to start with our para-athletes at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 10, 2024 and at 9 am on Sunday, February 11, 2024. We aim to post the start list on Zone4, in the breezeway at WOP and on the WhatsApp channel by noon on Friday, February 9th.
Travel
The road conditions are forecasted to be clear however please remember to leave plenty of time as we never know what the Sea to Sky highway will throw at us. Road conditions can be viewed here.
Entry to WOP
Venue opening hours are: Friday 9 am-6:30 pm, Saturday 6 am-6:30 pm and Sunday 6 am-5 pm. All skiers must have either a Seasons Pass or a Whistler Olympic Park trail pass to gain access. If you have an annual WOP pass, please use it to gain access to the park and for registered participants who indicated a pass was needed, please provide you name to the gate attendant who will have your name on a list. Registered coaches and wax technicians will receive a pass at the gate.
Weather and Medical
The weather forecast for WOP is available here. The forecast is calling for light snow on Saturday with temperatures ranging between 1-4 degrees. If you require medical attention at any point during the event, First Aid can be found at wax cabin #17 or come to the Race Office and we will call for a First Aid Attendant.
Cancellation
In the event of a delay or cancellation, a decision will be communicated to you by an email from Zone4 and will be included on our. We strongly encourage you to sign up for the WhatsApp Channel as the newsletter/email feature was not functional at our previous race.
