Yukon Ski Marathon - February 29, 2020

Save the Date - Plan to Participate!

The Yukon Ski Marathon is an annual long-distance ski race based in Whitehorse, Yukon. A unique, point to point course links together trails in the Whitehorse valley from Mount Lorne Recreation Center to Mount McIntyre Nordic Center. Although the course terrain is not difficult, the distance and potential weather conditions make this an event suited to experienced Nordic skiers. The goal is for people to challenge themselves and experience the landscape around Whitehorse in a new way.

Race distances for this event include:

50 km - individual event - Mt Lorne to Mt Mac

20 km - individual event - Mt Lorne to Wolf Creek

2 person relay event - Leg 1 20 km (Mt Lorne to Wolf Creek) , Leg 2 30 km (Wolf Creek to Mt Mac)

10 km -  individual event ( for 12 and under, on ski club trails, starting and finishing in close proximity to wax room)

Detailed information about the marathon will be posted on Facebook and the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club website in October. Registration will open in early January, 2020.
